The operation has also led to the recovery of more than £10,000 in cash suspected of being linked to criminal activity.
The trial, which began on 19 October, uses a dedicated control room channel to alert police officers to vehicles identified by ANPR cameras.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said its control room recorded 242 ANPR activations during the first week of the operation, resulting in 22 arrests and 25 vehicle seizures.
Those arrested include suspects linked to Class A and Class B drug offences, with officers recovering illegal substances during targeted vehicle stops.
The technology has also helped officers locate people wanted in connection with serious offences, including kidnap, rape and threats involving weapons.
More than £10,000 in cash believed to be connected to criminal activity has been seized, with enquiries continuing.
The 25 vehicles were seized in connection with offences including driving without insurance, other road traffic offences and wider criminal investigations.
ANPR cameras read vehicle registration plates and allow police to identify vehicles that have been flagged for further attention.
The dedicated control room channel enables dispatch operators to direct officers towards vehicles identified through the system.
Force Dispatch Manager Kevin Burgess said: "These results show the immediate impact ANPR can have in helping officers identify offenders, disrupt criminal activity and protect our communities.
"In just over a week, the technology has helped secure arrests for serious offences, recover suspected criminal assets, and remove vehicles linked to offending from our roads.
"We will continue to use every tool available to target those causing harm and keep the public safe."
Mr Burgess, who has worked for GMP for 27 years, said his team also helps officers respond to incidents across Greater Manchester's road network.
He said: "I love my job. I come to work every day knowing I’m part of an incredible team that helps keep people safe."
He added: "The control room is like a family. We support each other through the challenges, celebrate the successes together, and work as one team. That support and camaraderie are what make this job so special."
